What should I expect?

On your first visit we will go through your consultation form to ensure the treatment can be carried out safely.  We will discuss the areas that you would like to be addressed (most common are the abdomen, thighs and buttocks).

Once this is done, you will be required to undress for measurements to be taken.  Each measurement is logged to record your progress.

You will then (while standing) have the Shrinking Violet booster applied to your target area before the Shrinking Violet solution is applied.

When this phase is complete, you are then wrapped in 'Wrapture', a recyclable film wrap.  You will then be assisted onto the couch where you can enjoy some quiet time, have a chat, a reflexology treatment, foot massage, neck massage, read a book or even work! Your therapist will be present to ensure your safety.

Once on the couch you will be there for a full hour. You are welcome to bring a friend if you like.  

After the full hour is up, I remove the 'Wrapture' and any excess oil, retake measurements and log the results.  

 

Is this a one off treatment?

You can have a single treatment, but the Shrinking Violet system does work best as a course of treatments.  It is recommended that you have a course of 6 and of course, a discount will be applied if you book and pay for the course in advance by receiving your final treatment for free.

 

When will I see results?

This very much depends on your body, however most people can see the results after 60 minutes.  The solution will continue to work for 72 hours after application so if you have a special even to attend, it is advised that you have your treatment at least 48 hours prior

As our bodies are all different, some may notice a bigger change than others.  This is perfectly normal! 

 

Can I do this at home?

Yes! I can provide you with an 'At home kit' but not only that, did you know that I can also offer Shrinking Violet tea, oats, bath duo and waist trainer? 

 

What are the ingredients of the solution?

Can anyone have this treatment?

As with the other treatments, there are circumstances where it may not be suitable.  If you are pregnant, breast-feeding, had a natural birth within 26 weeks, a C section within 26 weeks then I cannot perform this treatment.  6 weeks AFTER  breast-feeding has ceased it is safe for the treatment to be carried out.

Other contraindications include (but not restricted to) cosmetic surgery within 3 months, other surgery - minor within 3 months or major within 6 months, cancer, epilepsy, infectious disease.

A patch test is recommended, particularly if you have any allergies or prior reactions to any ingredients.  If a reaction occurs (itching, redness, or other unusual reaction) you should not receive the treatment.

 

Is a patch test necessary?

Yes.  For your own health and the future of my business, I request you pop in for a patch test before your booking. Although reactions are rare, you can develop an allergy to anything that you come into contact with at any time! Even if you have been exposed to it for years without incident.  

The patch test is absolutely free and we can aim to do it at the most convenient time possible.  I offer late nights and weekend appointments :)
